Most mornings, I dread the agonizing beeping of my alarm that seems to dominate my life Monday through Friday at 6:30 am. As soon as the alarm goes off the race begins.
Time to get ready for work and the kids off to school. However, the alarm also serves as a confirmation that God has graciously given me another day of life.
So, instead of jumping up, I like to lay in bed for a few minutes and silently thank him for another day -- one that wasn't promised to me. God doesn't owe me anything. This could have been a day of mourning for my husband and children; however, the good Lord decided to give me another chance. So how could I dare attempt to rush and get my day started without thanking the one who made it possible for me to be here?
It's so important to make time for God. Make your mornings with him a priority. When you start your day off with God it has to be a great day. Yes, circumstances and situations may arise but I take comfort in knowing that I am not alone because he is with me every step of the way.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.
