The saying is very true, the devil is always working!
He's always working because he loves his job. He's dedicated 24 hours and 7 days. That's 365 days a year worldwide without a vacation. He finds gratification in unraveling your self-esteem, assassinating all your hopes and dreams, causing you to waste all those creative gifts and talents that you possess. Most importantly his ultimate objective is to turn you away from God.
Think about it! It's no coincidence every time you make a decision to trust God and step out on faith he always manages to show up to distract and discourage you from what God has called you to do in this season. He will use anything and everybody connected to you so you will shift your attention elsewhere.
Shouldn't that tell you something? You are in his radar only because he got a glimpse of your future and he's jealous. He despises knowing all the wonderful things that God has in store for those who love him and are obedient to his word.
This is why you need to focus that much harder to beat him. Pray for discernment so you'll be able to recognize his tricks and schemes. Remember, the devil's "no" cannot compete with God's "yes." For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Lift your hands and say "Lord no matter what it looks like I'm going to trust you."
You are a child of the Almighty and the devil cannot and will not stop your greatness.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
